Tale of Two Toxins - cont'd

In no point in this writing am I going to get into the ultimate result of the benefits of fluoridation, for there have been no laboratory tests to prove that fluoride caused a reduction of dental decay, only the word of the dentists and Health Department that were pushing it. Even today studies of fluoridated and non fluoridated cities, by reputable studies, find very little distinction in the reduction of dental decay.

Fluoride builds up in the bones, like nicotine does in the lung tissue. Many credible scientists that kept quiet about the possible adversities of fluoride in the body are starting to make a courageous move, and a moral decision, if not a medical one of openly denouncing the cumulative effects of a lifetime of fluoride consumption. It wasn't a mental reach to figure out that a prevelant poison, having a devastating physical and environmental impact, will slowly show its ill effects on the human being by accumulation. Increasing medical studies have shown catastrophic physiological detriment to the skeletal and soft tissue systems of the body. All that could be described most eloquently by the studies and the text obtainable by any valid scientific studies.

Unlike the long term devastating effects of smoking, a lifetime of fluoride consumption and its adverse physical conditions have unfortunately always been "in the closet". For the government to admit that a chemical accumulated in the body, in the public drinking water for over 50 years, causing harm both seen and unseen, would be like the tobacco companies in the 1950s, admitting that good tasting, sociably acceptable cigarettes gave you an increasing change of physical harm. But the scientific evidence is out there for those people willing to understand and relate the message that research is intoxication, is physically at a state of critical mass. The practice of adding toxic fluoride to the water supply should immediately be suspended.

Whether or not there are court trials in which people with knowledge of the devastating effects of fluoride be identified and held liable is irrelevant, compared to the welfare, health and future of the public. The Public Health Department should treat out-of-control fluoride consumption as they do second hand smoke, by protecting the innocent consumers from the adversities of fluoride compounds. Stopping fluoridation will limit "dental mottling" (the first sign of fluorine poisoning) and the spectrum of negative physiological diseases caused by fluoride in the human body. It is up to all of us, the public, the politicians and scientists to make this happen. I hope that the writing of this paper bridges the gap of understanding in what, in my mind, is mostly an American well-meaning, health tragedy, that of long term fluoride exposure.
